At Alfred E. Zampella, PS #27, our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing learning environment where every student can reach their full potential. We aim to instill a love of learning in our students and empower them to become responsible and confident individuals. Our dedicated staff will work collaboratively with parents and the community to create an atmosphere that promotes academic excellence, personal growth, and civic engagement. We believe that every child has the ability to succeed and we are committed to providing the support and resources necessary to help them achieve their goals. At Alfred E. Zampella, PS #27, we strive to create lifelong learners who are well-rounded, compassionate, and socially responsible citizens.

About Us

  • Our school is named after life-long Jersey City resident Alfred Zampella. He was principal of P.S. #27 for 27 years!
  • P.S. # 27 was built in 1966 and services students in grades K-8.
  • Our Robotics Team earned 1st Place Director's Cup
  • In the First Lego League Jersey City
  • Placed 7th in the First Lego League State Competition
